By Abby Pratt
If you have visited us at our CHOP5 Polaris location, you may recognize my face. My name is Abby. I have recently made the switch from chopping and prepping in the kitchens of CHOP5, to generating the blog content that I will present to you today and in the future.
I have been working with CHOP5 since before it was officially open. I remember my first day; I sat on the floor with one of the owner’s daughters as we peeled and removed about 100 bar code labels from the ingredients containers that hold the 35+ salad toppings.
Since then I have loved working at CHOP5 – their values align well with my own personal values. The company culture stood out to me, and my management and coworkers are always wonderful and hard working.
I also love the message that eating food that is good for you, does not mean that it must taste boring. I have eaten a chop salad about 5 times a week for 2 years straight and I never grow bored of it. After a year, I was able to develop within the company and become a manager.
I’ve learned a lot from the leaders there and have found great mentors for life in those people. CHOP5 taught me how to take on change with open arms.

Though CHOP5 is a big part of my life, it isn’t 100% of my personality, so here is a bit more about me. I am a Cincinnati native with two awesome parents and a younger sister. I love to stop home and hang out with them.
My family recently grew! In September, I married my Army man, Chance. I love to travel and in 2019 we will be moving to Germany! Yep you read that right. So that travel thing just got a whole lot easier.
My hobbies include eating, cooking, yoga, lifting weights, and some very unimpressive artwork. Oh, and add blogging to that list now.
